Xander Jan Bogaerts, OON; is an Aruban professional baseball shortstop
He currently plays for the Boston Red Sox of Major League Baseball and the Netherlands national baseball team
He was signed as an amateur free agent by the Red Sox in 2009

He became the Red Sox' starting shortstop in 2014, and was awarded the American League's Silver Slugger Award at the position in back-to-back years, 2015 and 2016, and again in 2019 and 2021
