Crew 'catalyst' Adames sparks much-needed win

There is no denying Willy Adames' current top priorities

Adames didn't smile until after Wednesday's 6-0 victory over the Mets at American Family Field

when he launched his season-high 31st home run in the sixth inning

and then advanced to second base on pinch-hitter Mike Brosseau's grand slam.

Adames, the Brewers' top hitter in September, remarked, "I would rather go 1-for-4 with a win than go 4-for-4 and we lose.

"I only want us to triumph. That is my aim.

This feeling of urgency is justified.

Not only did the Brewers need to win on Wednesday to end a three-game losing run and prevent being swept by the
