Against the Pirates, Aaron Judge hits two doubles

Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees did not hit a long ball on Wednesday night against the Pittsburgh Pirates (NYY 14, PIT 2)

keeping his season total of 60 home runs at 60. Even though Judge went 2 for 4 with two doubles, a walk

and a strikeout, he was still one home run short of Roger Maris' 1961 American League single-season record of 61.

In his final at-bat on Tuesday, Judge hit his 60th home run of the year.

The AL single-season home run leaderboard is as follows:

Judge is on pace to smash 66 home runs in 2022

with one home run per 2.47 team games

(the Yankees have 14 games remaining). But in September, he was at a higher level. Judge hit.491 with nine home runs as of Wednesday.
