She’s hardly the only one percenter flying private

It started with an Instagram photo that multimillionaire Kylie Jenner posted from an airport runway

In it, she’s locked in an embrace with her boyfriend, rapper Travis Scott, flanked by two shiny private jets

The caption read: “you wanna take mine or yours?”

@CelebJets , an automated account that tracks celebrities’ private flights, posted that Jenner had taken a 17-minute flight from one city to another in California

he criticism was swift, and the incident left many wary of the role that the wealthy play in climate change.

But the practice of taking brief journeys on luxury aircraft appears to be common among the rich and famous despite mounting concerns over the climate crisis.

Jenner, the 24-year-old socialite and businesswoman, has faced online opprobrium

Jenner’s flight on 12 July lasted just 17 minutes, taking her from Van Nuys in Los Angeles to the nearby town of Camarillo in her jet, a $72m Bombardier BD 700, to Van Nuys from Thermal, California.
